Hello, our names are GAMBLE and GARLAND. We are
Basset Hounds and we are also sisters. We were part of a hunting
pack in Dorset. Our owner died and had not made any provision for
the pack. Some how the kennel huntsman managed to re –home everyone
except the three eldest. Guess who they were? The two of us and
our sister Gadget. We were all 11 years old when Janet came to fetch
us. Gadget was here for 2 years before she died of cancer. We were
so glad that she had the opportunity to come to this caring place
where all animals are valued and cherished. We are fifteen now
and deaf and almost blind. We don’t walk too far down the fields
– well our legs are old as well as short – but we do enjoy a potter
in the paddock near the house with the ducks and geese. Our comfy
beds are a vast improvement on the hunt kennels and we don’t have
to fight over food any more like we did there. |
