| My name is ELVIS. I’ve never heard of the guy but apparently it’s something to do with my hair. He must have had problems grooming his too. I don’t know how old I am. We guinea pigs don’t bother with such a minor detail as age. I can’t live with the girls – it creates too many small problems. Well if all you had to do all day was eat, even though the food here is top notch and there is plenty of it, you’d need some other distraction. I was an unwanted pet. Well they got the sex wrong at the pet shop didn’t they and you can guess the rest. So I was brought here by my distraught owners. It’s like five star accommodation and I can hear the girls squeaking next door which is comforting. Apparently there is some sort of operation planned for me so that I can have a hutch mate. I hope it’s a girl. I’m looking forward to that. Well, much to my relief I can tell you, I didn’t need the operation and, I have a wonderful new hutch mate. Her name is Priscilla and she is a rabbit. I think she is just beautiful and I’m sure you will too if you look at her photo. We have become fantastic friends and Priscilla spends hours grooming my hair, now that is a really dedicated friend with hair like mine. We are very happy together. I want to stay here in my fabulous accommodation, where they don’t mind what sex you are. Most of all I want to stay with Priscilla. Please sponsor us.
Hello, my name is Priscilla and I am 1 year old now. I am a Dwarf Old English rabbit. When I and my three siblings were very tiny, only six weeks old, we were taken away from the warmth and security of our mother and put in a cold box. We were terrified. We were jostled about in the box inside something that made a tremendous noise. It made us shake with fear. The noise stopped and the next thing we knew we were taken out of the box put on something that we now know was grass and just left there with a few bits of carrot. It was a relief to be out of the box but what we were supposed to do we had no idea and no mother to tell us. One of my brothers wandered off to try to find out where we were. We never saw him again. Then this lady appeared with another box and put the three of us in that. How we didn’t die with stress and distress I don’t know – we rabbits are prone to that you know. As things turned out this second journey in a box was a vast improvement on the first because it brought us here to the Sanctuary or rather that kind lady did. She told Janet that she had seen a car stop, someone get out and put something in the corner of a field. On investigating she found us but as she was walking her dogs she had to go back home to get the box, when she came back our brother was lost. Well, we couldn’t have been brought to a better place. We are safe, loved, admired and fed all sorts of goodies. And now I have the Charismatic Elvis, a guinea pig, as my special friend. I just wish my brother hadn’t left us that day 11 months ago. I wish he and our mother could have come here too. I want to stay at the Sanctuary with Elvis and I want my two siblings to stay as well. Please sponsor us.
