Hello my name is Brenda.

My name is BRENDA. I’m 2 and a half years old and I came to the Sanctuary in April 2007.  I was one of 6,000 free range hens rescued by Brighton Animal Action.  We are quite famous really.  Without the tremendously compassionate and dedicated people who organized our rescue and the equally fantastic people who care for us here we would all have been dead by now because by this age we lay less than perfect shaped eggs.  I’m relieved I didn’t die at such a young age just because my eggs were no longer the right shape to sell to a finicky public.  There’s more to life and to a life than perfectly shaped, designer eggs.  I want to stay here with my friends and Stan the turkey.  Please sponsor me.
