Michael the cockerel

Hello my name is Michael.

Hello my name is MICHAEL.  I haven’t a clue how old I am and neither has any one else.  A while ago I decided to unwisely, at the time any way, stay out for the night.  Well, they had mini tornadoes just further north from here. Thank goodness it wasn’t quite that bad where I was.  Goodness knows where I would have ended up or, more to the point, in what state.  Fortunately for me I was blown into some one’s back garden.  I’d never been out of control like that before.  I can tell you it was a frightening experience.  We cockerels don’t tend to fly much but I certainly broke all the rules that night.  Anyway  by the time the people who owned the garden got up the following morning I’d rearranged my feathers as best as I could and regained some of my normal composure.  They went to some lengths to try to find my owner, I have a ring on one leg, couldn’t so kindly brought me to the Sanctuary.  It’s great here.  They’ve got rid of all those hangers on, the lice, even they didn’t get blown off in the storm.  I have some new chums to stroll, dust bathe and peck around with.  We three lads have five girls to go round so that keeps us happy, no squabbling.  I enjoy messing about in the yard and the barns there are so many friendly animals here and the humans are extremely well trained to anticipate your needs and then fulfill them.  Please sponsor me.
