My name is ANAYA and I have been here at the Sanctuary for 4 years. I used to be a champion show jumper in Ireland but I got cancer on my head. Janet found me in a horse box at the market. I was stood up to my knees in faeces. I was very thin then and very dirty. It all made me extremely depressed. I wasn’t used to being treated in that way. The decent people here persevered with me and at the end of 12 months I was physically improved and felt contented. I am 16 years old now and my best friend is Charlie.
