Babe the Pig

Hello my name is Babe.

Hello, my name is BABE. I am 18 months old.  What I lack in stature I make up for by the generosity of my nature and my gentle, sensible personality.  I had lived with children and dogs before I came here so I developed all those attributes to make life pleasant for me and my family.  Well, one moment I was with them and the next I was put into a dog cage, driven across the county and left just inside a gateway in the cage.  I didn’t know at the time that there was a note tied to the cage. A lady came out of the house and found me. She was a bit startled by my sudden appearance but very kind.   I suppose it’s not every day you get a young pig left in your driveway.   She later told me that the note explained who I was, how old I was and that I had been left there as my family could no longer keep me.  I have my family to thank for doing that things could have turned out much worse.

Well, it’s pretty cool here, I have even more dogs to play with, loads of people who think I am really cute and so much to explore. I tend to keep out of the way of those two young tearaways Rosie and Gertrude, the other piglets.  They may be much younger than me but they are bigger and most certainly not as dignified.  Their mothers can’t have taught them any manners.  I’d not met sheep before but they are gentle creatures, Anyway, I’d like this to be my permanent home from now on.  No more journeys across the county in dog cages.  I would like a secure future.  Please sponsor me.  I don’t eat much I’m only small.
