My name is LEO and I am 9 years old. I have been at the Sanctuary for most of my life. I am a cross between a wild boar and a Tamworth pig. When I was only a few days old some other animal got hold of me and badly mauled me. I was so shocked at the time that I can’t remember how it happened or how I lost my mother. I was laid on a small road leading to some one’s house and they picked me up and took me to a man who made me better. It was quite a painful experience – I can tell you. But I don’t hold it against him. Without him and those people who found me I would have died. Anyway I grew into a big lad and the kind people didn’t have enough room to keep me any more so they brought me here to the Sanctuary. I met Vanessa and we immediately fell in love. She was so beautiful through a pig’s eyes, you understand. She was a Tamworth sow. We stayed together for 7 years. She was older than me and she died 18 months ago. I was devastated and I haven’t really felt the same since. I wish she could come back. The people here are very understanding and I have my own wallow and comfortable quarters. But I do miss Vanessa. I have some happy memories of our time together and I have the peace here to appreciate those. If it hadn’t been for the Sanctuary I would never have met Vanessa. Please sponsor me.
