Augusta the sheep

Hello my name is Augusta.

My name is AUGUSTA.  I came here when I was 3 months old from a local farm.  When I was born I developed joint ill.  This is a virus and is caught through a scratch or when the umbilical cord drops off.  The virus attacks joints causing swelling and pain.  The lady from the Sanctuary, Janet, went to the farm where I was to buy hay.  The farmer told her that he was going to shoot me as I had not responded to treatment from the vet.  He gave me to Janet instead.  I can remember being in severe pain and very distressed.  The pain wouldn’t go away, I couldn’t get any rest and I didn’t want to eat.  Janet is a wonderful person, she is my heroine, she cured me. I am 3 years old now and I am absolutely normal apart from a slight limp.  I can play and jump just like the others and everyone tells me that I am pretty.  I am very happy here with my group of friends and I want to stay.  I don’t want to be faced with the prospect of being shot ever again. I am only young still and have lots of time to spend running and jumping. Please sponsor me.
