I know I look strange to you but happily the other sheep are not disturbed by my appearance. I was only 5 months old when I was attacked by this dog. It was terrifying and so painful. I was screaming and the dog was growling and biting through my neck. It had me pinned on the ground. I couldn't escape. There was a public footpath in the field and some walkers were on it. They must have heard all the noise and came to see what was happening. I owe them my life. I can’t remember a great deal of what happened next. I think I was in shock and had lost a lot of blood. The dog had ripped my neck open. The walkers took me to a man who, although he hurt me at the time, did all he could to save my life. He was tremendously kind. I am 3 years old now and have terrible scars on the back of my neck and no ears but I can hear perfectly well especially when Janet comes down the field with Rich Tea biscuits. They are my favourites. I know that the dogs who live here at the Sanctuary won’t hurt me. My special friend is Jessica. She is a pure bred Leicester and is white and she has enormous ears – makes up for the lack of mine. She is 14 years old but I'm not concerned by the age difference . It seems to be quite a status symbol here at the Sanctuary to be a toy-boy. I don’t want to be attacked by dogs ever again I don’t think I would survive the shock. It’s safe here. Please sponsor me.
