Hello my name is Jean.

Hello, my name is Jean and I am one of Jane’s friends.  Her story tells of how we all came to be at the Sanctuary.  She is our leader really and spokesperson.  Although that day at the market even she was lost for words.  We were all terrified.  We knew we had been reared for only one thing – death – ours.  From what we had heard it wouldn’t have been an easy experience.  We are so fortunate to be here instead. There were so many turkeys at the market that day.  We know that the biggest one was also rescued. I dearly wish that Janet could have bought every single one of those turkeys.  Stan tells us that one year a long time back she did.  We all have a safe and happy life to look forward to now.  It’s great to have some fresh air and fresh food.  I want to stay here with my friends.  Please sponsor me.
