Hello, my name is Louise.
I don’t really know how old I am but certainly not a youngster any more as I’ve had lots of piglets. I belonged to a farmer and because I was always pleasant and a good mother he didn’t want me to go to this place called slaughter that we in the animal world hear so much about – none of it good I might add - once I couldn’t have any more piglets. So he arranged for me to come here to the Sanctuary. I must say that I don’t miss the piglets and am relieved that I won’t be having any more. They were hard work. Anyway, I was a bit apprehensive at first, a new place and all the rest of it you know but I certainly needn’t have worried. What a fantastic home this is! The people here are just tremendously kind and patient and fun. There are other pigs to talk to and dogs. Hadn’t come across them before or the hens, turkeys and sheep but they are all sociable and happy too. I have some arthritis in my leg joints as I spent a lot of my life on a concrete floor but Janet rubs something into them and it is very soothing. The best thing though is my wallow – how FAB! I’d not had one of those before so I spend every minute I can in it! And the food! Fantastic! Please sponsor me so I can wallow forever! Thank you!
