Hello, my name is Snowdrop and I am two years old.

I was born here at the Sanctuary, one of triplets, but I was tiny. So tiny that I only weighed two and a half pounds and so tiny that my mother rejected me. Well, that was just disastrous until that old softie Janet took me into her bedroom and became my second mum – she’s my favourite actually. Janet and I spent a few days together with me enthusiastically feeding from a bottle – bit of a come down as that taste of rubber is awful – but I thrived and started to play in the bedroom or in Janet speak “wrecked the room”. So we came to a compromise and during the day I was in the barn with my Mum and two siblings but being bottle fed and Mum seemed OK with this arrangement. It meant that at night I was worn out so didn’t wreck the bedroom. This went on for months and months as everyone was very concerned about me being so small – well, I thought nothing of it, I grew and played. Apparently at about six months old I was “out of the woods” whatever that means, I didn’t feel any different. But I seem to have been out of them ever since and as you can see I am a big girl now, big anyway for my small start in life. Janet is still devoted to me and I am to her, without her I wouldn’t be here. I love being here with chums my own age, treats, even sun cream on my ears and with everyone wrapped around my hoof. They even put on a birthday party for me with buns baked by Louise! I want to stay so please sponsor me.
