Hello my name is Stargazer.
I am 28 months old. I have been here at the Sanctuary for a two years. I was born in Scotland so I had a bit of a problem understanding them down here at first but I think I am getting the hang of it now, and of course, vice versa. I can’t see, you humans call me blind whatever that means. I’ve never been able to see but I can sure hear everything that goes on! It’s not a problem to me and apparently there is another sheep here called Daisy who is also blind and she is very happy. She even had a lamb this year which I gather was “a mistake” or so the other Girls in my barn say. Well, I think they are just jealous. Anyway I’ve yet to meet Daisy and I’m looking forward to that despite her reputation - but back to me. My farmer didn’t want me to go to that awful place called slaughter that we all here so much about so I have him to thank for my wonderful home here even though I did come by it in a roundabout way. First of all he took me to place even further away where there were other animals and children came to see us but the people at that place didn’t want me. They said I would upset the children. I felt awful about that – for the children as well as me. So I came here instead and well, what a fantastic place to have as a home. Within a few hours I’d got my bearings around the barn and had made several friends amongst the Girls. There are even some youngsters like me in our pen including Snowdrop. She is my age but much smaller – she has a really naughty sense of humour. Anyway I really would like to stay here with Snowdrop and meet Daisy. I don’t want to be deemed imperfect and unsuitable just because I can’t see. So please sponsor me.
