Colin is a very lucky pig! He's been sent to the slaughterhouse twice but was sent home because his papers weren't in order!
Percy was found lying on the side of the M42; he'd fallen out of a vehicle. The police believe he was on his way to be illegally slaughtered.
The little disabled lamb who was unable to walk when she arrived here in April 2016 is now up and running, a credit to her determination.
Perry was born on a commercial farm, he was struggling to walk. The farmer's answer was to throw him over a wall where he couldn't be seen.
Our vet was called to perform a cesarean on a young heifer. The owner wanted to put the cow and calf into a field belly deep in slurry.
We have had Hosanna since 2002. She's very old but still runs around with the sheep as if she's a young one! She has outlived all of the other donkeys.
Ellie was a pet lamb, left to roam the village. She enjoyed stealing crisps from the local pub. She came to us as people were worried about her safety by roads!
Pete was found by local police snoozing by the side of a busy lane. He was young, very friendly, very amiable, no one claimed him so he decided to stay with us.
Kept in a field with poor fencing, they strayed onto a busy road late one evening. They came here for safety, but the owner decided to leave them with us.
The Farm Animal Sanctuary provides a forever home to over 600 animals who have been rescued from slaughter, abuse or neglect. We receive no government funding and rely on the generosity of people like you to help us, help them.
